A Charming RPG Experience Undertale is one of those games that I have played and will always remember. It is a very unique, and especially charming experience that is short but very powerful. As I mentioned in my Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania review, I am always looking for games that can provide me with such a unique experience. Undertale is actually the pioneer of that trend, it was the first game that gave me this feeling, and soon I wanted to find and play even more unique games.
Technically, Undertale falls under the RPG genre, but it builds extensively and differently upon it. Of course, some traditional elements are retained: random encounters, boss fights, turn-based battles, experience points, ... but then we get to the unique part. When an enemy attacks, you have to control your soul (a heart) in a small square box, in bullet-hell style as it's called, attacks come at you from all sides, which you have to dodge with your soul or you will take damage. Additionally, the game presents you with an interesting choice in each battle. Will you kill your enemy? Or will you try to peacefully end the confrontation using the ACT command, without casualties? This choice can have a small, but also a big impact on how the rest of the game unfolds. The small impacts are negligible (some dialogue is slightly different), but the big ones result in the game having multiple routes, namely 3 different ones. All 3 routes are different enough from each other that they each shine in their own way, and of course, this also adds to the replay value. Another fun aspect of the ACT command is that the choices of actions available to you change depending on the enemy you are facing in a confrontation. This adds a nice variety and it's enjoyable to discover which actions you can use against which type of enemy. Read more...
In addition to the gameplay, the story of this game is also fantastic. It's difficult to argue this point without giving spoilers, but I'll keep it brief and spoiler-free. The game features very cool and memorable characters. Even the ordinary, less important enemies all have their own cool and small personalities. And there is also a lot of genuinely fun and humorous humor in the game.
In short, I highly recommend this game, whether you are a casual or hardcore gamer, you will enjoy it. Again, the game is relatively short (one route takes approximately 5 hours to complete), so you will find time for it and not spend too long on it if it's not entirely your thing. Hide. Cijfer:

Unique gameplay and memorable characters, especially Mettaton! Undertale on the Nintendo Switch is truly a brilliant game. The story captivated me from the start and is full of funny and exciting moments. All the characters are special, especially Mettaton. He is absolutely hilarious and has a fantastic design, although I find his second form less appealing. The gameplay is unique and combines elements of RPGs with surprising twists. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves original games! Cijfer:

When I'm Not Working...
If I were in the world of Undertale with Yoshi and Luma, that would be truly Fantastic! I would go on adventures with Yoshi and try to make peace with all the monsters. Luma would assist us with her magical powers to solve the toughest puzzles. Together, we would explore the underground world and maybe even make a few new friends. And of course, we would have lots of laughs and fun because that's what makes Mr. M's life truly Fantastic!

Muffet is the spider you encounter in a battle in the Hotlands of Undertale. The fight is quite challenging, but it can be completely skipped. Early in the game, in the Ruins, there's a room where some spiders sell "Spider Donuts." Buy one and hold onto it until the battle with Muffet. Once you're in the fight, eat the Spider Donut. She'll notice this and say something about it, ultimately deciding to spare you right away. Read more tips and secrets.Secrets: What are the 3 different routes in Undertale? Axelmans | | 2186 |
Undertale has 3 different routes, each with their own story and boss fights: Neutral, Pacifist, and Genocide. However, the latter two routes require specific actions from the player throughout the game.
In Pacifist, you must not kill any enemies. If you find yourself in a battle, you either run away or use the ACT command to try and spare the enemy (only the Dummy at the beginning and Mad Mew Mew can be killed without breaking this rule). After confronting Undyne, she will faint from the heat in the Hotlands. Here, it’s essential to take a cup of water from the water cooler and give it to her; otherwise, you'll lose your chance to complete the Pacifist route. Pacifist also requires that you have completed the Neutral route at least once, but you don’t need to play through the entire game twice. You can simply start by playing the game without killing any enemies and save right before the final boss. This will still be the final boss of the Neutral route. Defeat them and go through the entire credits. Now, load your save just before the final boss; you can now complete the remaining requirements for the Pacifist ending:
1. Go to Papyrus's house in Snowdin and go on a date with him.
2. After that, head to Undyne's house in Waterfall and have a date with her too.
3. Now, you need to go to the entrance of the Core, where Undyne will call you asking to deliver a letter for her.
4. Undyne will be waiting for you at Papyrus's house to hand you the letter.
5. Go to Alphys's lab in the Hotlands and slide the letter under the door; you will also have a date with her now.
6. The date ends in a junkyard, and Papyrus will call you to say you need to visit Alphys again in her lab. Once there, you’ll find a note that leads you to her bathroom, but it actually takes you in a lift to the True Lab. From this point on, you are forced into the Pacifist route and cannot exit.
7. Complete the puzzles in the True Lab, and you will be taken to the final location of the game. You are now ready to fight the Pacifist final boss.
Genocide, on the other hand, is the complete opposite. You must wipe out everyone. In every location (starting from the Ruins all the way to the Hotlands and the Core), you need to keep triggering wild encounters and kill the enemies. You must do this until you enter another wild battle but receive the message "But nobody came." This means you are done in that location and can move on to the next one. From Snowdin onwards, save points will tell you how many enemies you still need to kill in the current location.
I’ll discuss Neutral last because you first need to know what the other two routes entail. Neutral is literally what lies in between; you don’t spare everyone, but you also don’t kill everything or everyone. Of course, as I mentioned, this route must be completed before you can achieve the Pacifist ending. So, if this hasn’t been done yet, the Neutral ending can still be obtained if you spare everyone. If it has been completed and you spare everyone but don’t carry out all the steps mentioned above, you will still receive the Neutral ending. Less tips and secrets.
