Mario Odyssey is pure 3D fun!
Mario is back! With a new 3D platformer in Super Mario Odyssey! And just like all the previous games, Nintendo has once again managed to create a great game.
If you've played another game from the 3D Mario series before, you have a good idea of what to expect. 3D levels focused on exploration and collecting. Each level has multiple moons, and you'll need to find them to unlock new levels.

So, this game is more like Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine: fewer levels but more to do per level. The Galaxy games were different, they had many more levels but fewer stars per level.
One difference from 64 and Sunshine is that Odyssey is more linear in terms of gameplay progression. Most levels or kingdoms are visited in a fixed order (with 2 exceptions where the player can choose between 2 kingdoms), and you'll always need to collect a certain number of moons in the last unlocked kingdom before you can progress to the next one. You can revisit previous levels, but the moons from previous levels don't count towards unlocking the next level in this case.
The kingdoms offer a lot of variety. Cascade Kingdom (the first level) is a good start for the game, Desert Kingdom is very large and has a lot of moons, Metro Kingdom is fun to walk through, whether on the streets or rooftops, and so on.
Mario's controls have been perfected in this game, which also makes exploration more enjoyable. Long jumps, dives, triple jumps, almost all the old jumps and moves are back. The addition of Cappy provides even more jumping possibilities. Cappy is not only used to hit enemies and possess them, but you can also use it for an extra jump.
Whether you just want to reach the end or really want to find all the moons, you'll enjoy this game in both cases, it's highly recommended. Hide. Cijfer:

A must-have for the Switch!
Super Mario Odyssey is the first 3D Mario game for the Switch. There are many different worlds in the game, all with new things to do. Now you also have someone else helping you on your adventure: Cappy. With Cappy, you can take over various enemies.
There are a whopping 880(!) moons to collect in Super Mario Odyssey. So, you won't get bored quickly. You can also play this game with a friend: one plays as Mario, the other as Cappy. However, the amiibos don't do much in the game: you only get some coins or a heart. There are also jump rope and volleyball challenges, which can be quite frustrating.
It's great that there's so much to do in Super Mario Odyssey: truly, anything is possible. Additionally, there are many glitches in the game, which can also be fun to discover. Most of them are for real experts though. Definitely worth playing! Cijfer:

A fantastic game with plenty to do and discover. This is definitely a game that can be enjoyed by both young and old. The various worlds are very enjoyable to explore.
With the new capture ability, you can now control creatures. Fly like a bullet-bill, stack up Goombas, swim like a cheep-cheep, and so much more.

A groundbreaking world for Mario
Super Mario Odyssey is an incredibly innovative game in the Mario franchise. The concept of Mario, where you travel through different worlds and levels, has been translated well into a more open version in Mario Odyssey. Throughout the entire game, you encounter unique challenges, enemies, and puzzles.
A Mario game wouldn't be a Mario game if there weren't additional levels after the final battle. This is certainly the case with Mario Odyssey, I even believe that almost half of the time you spend on this game will be after the last battle. The game eventually becomes quite challenging and provides a real test.

This is the Mario 3D adventure for the Switch. The game features fun levels and beautiful graphics. It also includes a plethora of hidden moons to collect and references to the older Mario games. You can spend hours trying to collect all the moons. By throwing Cappy (Mario's cap) at certain things and animals (like a frog), you become the object or the animal and can, for example, jump higher than you normally can. One of the Best Mario Games
Super Mario Odyssey is, in my opinion, one of the best Mario games, mainly because the controls are not difficult and the content of the game provides a lot of fun.
