Super Mario 3D All-Stars includes: Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy. All top games that you can easily sink hours into.
Unfortunately, not much has been tweaked in these remakes and they are practically emulators. Besides the 3 games, there are also the soundtracks of the games.
It's a shame that Super Mario Galaxy 2 is not included in this collection. All in all, very nice to be able to play these games on the switch. Cijfer:

A SUPER Mario collection
The 3 best Mario games in 1 collection, who wouldn't want that? This was made for Mario's 35th birthday and I have put in so many hours in all 3 games, it's truly an amazing collection. All games now look stunning because they are all in HD. It's incredibly exciting that 3 of the very best Mario games have been released on the Nintendo Switch.
Super Mario 64 is the very first 3D Mario game and has had a huge impact on 3D gaming. And to this day, it remains a masterpiece!

Super Mario Galaxy is my all-time favorite Mario game and was truly fantastic for its time. Amazing 3D levels, where in each level you can explore planets that are always new and surprising. Relive classics!
Super Mario 3D All-Stars is a collection that allows Switch owners to replay the first three 3D Mario games. Collections of old games always appeal, both to new players trying the games for the first time, as well as to older players who originally played the games. For me, this was not much different, I absolutely love Super Mario 64, and just this game alone was enough motivation for me to purchase the collection.
Setting nostalgia aside, the collection could have done a bit more. The collection literally consists of just the 3 games, that's it. A kind of mission mode, where you had to complete small bite-sized missions in all 3 games, would have been really cool (Sonic Origins has this, and it provided unique experiences where you approached the games differently). Also, the presentation is quite simple; not bad, but compared to, for example, Kirby's Dream Collection, it's less visually appealing and extensive. You might expect that the absence of Super Mario Galaxy 2 bothers me, well, the answer to that is yes and no. It is indeed a missed opportunity, but somewhere I am already happy enough with these 3 games, because instead of having 3 out of 4, it could have easily been 0 out of 4. Cijfer:

A Disappointing Mario Collection
Personally, I already own 2 out of the 3 games in this collection; if that wasn't the case, I might have considered buying this collection. However, this collection doesn't even include Super Mario Galaxy 2. Considering that nothing new is added to this collection, only a music playlist of the games, it would have been easy to include it. Everything feels really dull. The game selection screen just shows a screenshot of the game. If you look at, for example, the first Super Mario All-Stars game for the SNES, everything looked great. Nintendo could have easily added some extra goodies. For those who don't have the original games yet, this is a good way to play them, but for those who already own the original games, this doesn't add anything. I think I'll just wait for a better collection since this game was limited and is no longer being sold.Super Mario 3D All-Stars Cijfer:

Relive the very first 3D Mario adventures on the Switch. For me, this was the first time playing Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Mario Sunshine, and I have to say that I enjoyed this bundle. The nice thing is that in this game, you can choose how the camera works. You can opt for a more modern camera experience or stick to the original one. In my opinion, this makes it more playable. Although I struggled at times with both the camera in Super Mario 3D All-Stars and the controls of Mario Sunshine's spraying system, I still think this is definitely a fun bundle with great games. A superb 3D compilation!
This game is simply amazing, 3 great stories in 1 game is fantastic for newcomers and old players.
Starting with Super Mario 64 (1997), also Mario's first 3D adventure. It's great to be able to take Super Mario 3D All-Stars everywhere now. Also, the game feels much better to me than with an N64 controller.

Next up is Super Mario Sunshine (2002). This is again a great game, but playing without a GameCube controller doesn't feel right. This game was made for the GameCube, and you can really feel that when you play.
And finally, we arrive at Super Mario Galaxy (2007). This game uses motion controls that feel very good. However, this game is not recommended if you are playing with the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. It doesn't feel natural and is definitely not recommended.
In conclusion, each game is fantastic, but sometimes you can tell that these games were not intended for the Nintendo Switch, which is a real shame. Hide. Cijfer:

No complete remakes unfortunately
Super Mario 3D All-Stars is a birthday gift from Nintendo for Mario's 35th anniversary. And they have failed in that regard.
The game includes Mario 64, Mario Sunshine, and Mario Galaxy, which are by far the best Mario games that exist. But it's simply the three games plus the soundtrack. No remake with new graphics or new stars or anything, which I think is a missed opportunity. Unlike what happened with Super Mario All-Stars for the Wii for Mario's 25th anniversary. I also find it odd that Mario Galaxy 2 is not included.
They remain timeless and amazing games, and it's nice that they can now be played on the Switch, but I still find it odd. Cijfer:

The twelfth level in Super Mario 64, Tall Tall Mountain, features a star called "Blast to the Lonely Mushroom" as its fifth star. This star is located on a mushroom quite far away from the rest of the level. The goal here is to find a pink Bob-omb and talk to it, which will open a cannon. After that, you can attempt to shoot yourself to the distant mushroom with the star. However, this isn't easy, and it can be quite unforgiving if you miss the shot. Fortunately, there's an easier way to reach the star that doesn't require the cannon.
Climb to the top of the mountain until you reach a section with a wooden stump that you can roll over; just before that, a Fly Guy (a red enemy with a mask and a propeller on its head) is flying around. When Mario jumps on it, he gets shot into the air and slowly flutters down. The fluttering is very handy, as it allows us to reach the distant mushroom. So just jump on the Fly Guy, and the moment you get launched into the air, start moving towards the mushroom; you'll have just enough speed while fluttering to land on the mushroom in Super Mario 3D All-Stars. When you play Super Mario 3D All-Stars and collect 30 shines, you can receive a pair of sunglasses from a Pianta on the beach in Delfino Plaza. If you step into Corona Mountain for the first time, you'll also get a new shirt along with it.
