Poor bosses and disappointing multiplayer
Sonic Superstars on the Nintendo Switch has enjoyable gameplay, but I feel it doesn't reach the level of Sonic Mania. The bosses are a disaster; it feels like you're fighting against your boredom rather than the boss itself. After finishing the game, you have to go through it again, but this time with annoying spikes everywhere. That doesn't make it any more fun. The final boss is also incredibly irritating.

The multiplayer mode is average at best. It can be fun at times, but mostly it's more annoying than entertaining. You might as well forget about the online multiplayer, it adds little to the experience. The game has potential, but there are too many frustrating elements that get in the way of the enjoyment.

When you complete the game Sonic Superstars, you unlock the ability to play as Trip. She has her own story that you can play through, and you can stick to walls while playing as Trip.
