Creative remake of the first Pokémon games
Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! is a creative remake of the first Pokémon games, mixed with the game elements of Pokémon GO. It's clear that the game taps into the Pokémon GO hype and aims to attract new players.

The idea of Pokémon is to become the strongest Pokémon trainer. Together with your starter Pokémon, you set out in the Kanto region. In Kanto, you can catch and train the first 151 Pokémon.

In this game, you can't choose your starter Pokémon as usual, but you receive the Pokémon of your version (Pikachu or Eevee) as your starter. Also, the battling and catching of wild Pokémon have changed. In all other Pokémon games, you have to weaken the wild Pokémon first before having a chance to catch it. Now, it works the same as in Pokémon GO, where you can throw a ball directly at the Pokémon (using motion controls or your joystick in handheld mode).

The game works very well in the colorful 3D world and is full of animations. Your Pokémon now also walk along with you on your adventure. However, I find the Pokémon GO system a big miss and would have preferred the traditional system. Additionally, the game has been simplified in various aspects. Still, I believe it serves as a good starting point for new players or children who can get acquainted with the first Pokémon games through this game.

Let's GO!
Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! is a delightful reimagining for fans of the original games. The blend of classic Kanto adventures with modern graphics and gameplay elements is fantastic.

Catching Pokémon now involves Pokémon GO mechanics. Personally, I find this a downside in the game, as you can no longer battle wild Pokémon.

You can see Pokémon roaming around in the wild, making exploration much more vibrant.

Eevee and Pikachu are incredibly cute, and you can even dress them up. The game is definitely welcoming to newcomers but offers enough nostalgia and charm. The co-op mode is also a nice addition, allowing you to embark on an adventure with a friend.

There are a few drawbacks. The game can sometimes feel a bit too easy, especially for experienced trainers, and the motion controls when catching Pokémon can be somewhat imprecise.
Nevertheless, Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! is a fun and relaxing way to relive the classic Pokémon experience.

Perfect for a nostalgic journey or a first introduction to the world of Pokémon.

Pokémon GO-like Pokémon game
Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! is a remake of Pokémon Yellow. The difference with Pokémon Eevee is that you start with Pikachu as your starter. The way you catch Pokémon is the same as in Pokémon GO. You no longer battle the Pokémon to weaken it and catch it; instead, you feed the wild Pokémon Poké Berries and then throw a ball to hopefully catch it. This also means you no longer fight wild Pokémon, only Pokémon from trainers. Personally, I prefer the old mechanics, but if you're not a fan or want to try something new, then this game is definitely fun. Despite that, I still enjoyed playing it, but the other way is just more enjoyable.

Beautiful remake of the first Pokémon games
For those who have ever played Pokémon Red, Blue, or Yellow on the Game Boy, the storyline is easy to follow. I still knew my way around by heart because I used to play this game for hours. Nintendo has given the game a new look with much nicer graphics and a new catching system. Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! is entertaining, but I couldn't spend many hours on it. It is a good game for young Pokémon trainers who want to get acquainted with the basics of Pokémon and the very first generation.

Beautiful remake
In Let's Go, Pikachu! it's none other than the Pokémon mascot that is your starter, which is something different from the usual starter trio.
In Let's Go, you explore the Kanto region. This is the very first Pokémon region from the Red, Blue, and Yellow games on the original Game Boy.
In terms of gameplay, I didn't find Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! all that enjoyable. It's heavily inspired by Pokémon GO, probably in the hope of luring casual Pokémon GO players over to the mainline Pokémon games.
In terms of graphics, it is indeed one of the most beautiful Pokémon games on the Switch.
