Legendary game in your hands After a slow start through an entire storyline, immersing you in the Hisui region, before Pokémon and people were "living together," you learn how to battle Pokémon, how to catch them, and you engage with various residents of Jubilife Village. After a long start, you embark on an unforgettable journey. And by unforgettable, I mean truly unforgettable.
Completing the Pokédex isn't a walk in the park; you must fulfill various "missions" to register a Pokémon 100% in your Pokédex.
The Pokédex consists of 242 Pokémon. You traverse through 7 different regions throughout the story, each with their unique Pokémon. There's also a distinction between day and night. Read more...
With 27 story quests, and after the new update, 122 side quests, you'll be occupied for quite a few hours. New additions include Alpha Pokémon that you can catch and mass outbreaks where a bunch of the same Pokémon gather. This Pokémon game is hardly comparable to any other games in the series. No Gym Leaders, no trainers (or hardly any) impeding your journey from town to town, but a fresh, beautiful open world where you can carve your path and face various challenges.
For me, so far, this is the best Pokémon Legends: Arceus game ever made for this era with stunning graphics. Although you might need to push through at the beginning, it deserves a solid and well-earned 10/10 from me! Hide.Pokémon Legends: Arceus Cijfer:

Very enjoyable version of Pokémon! For someone who has only played Pokémon Y on the 3DS before, Pokémon Legends: Arceus has a lot of fun changes.
You have the option to roam around in an open world. Here, you can also catch Pokémon without necessarily having to battle them and expand your Pokédex by studying them and catching as many as possible. Read more...
The starters have a new final evolution line compared to their original form.
My only downside is that the graphics don't look as nice and they could have done better with it.
However, it is still a unique Pokémon game where you can invest quite a bit of time, expand your collections, and complete the missions. Hide. Cijfer:
8,5A big step forward for Pokémon Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a big step forward for Pokémon. There are no more random encounters; instead, you can now see all the Pokémon just walking around. You don't even have to battle a Pokémon to catch them; you can simply aim nicely and throw a Pokéball.
The battles also go very smoothly; you just throw out a Pokémon, fight, and can immediately continue.
The game is far from perfect; it doesn't always look great and there are some frame rate issues, but I still had a lot of fun playing this game.
The Pokédex can also be completed entirely on your own without having to find someone to trade with.
Definitely a recommendation for every Pokémon fan!Pokémon Legends: Arceus Cijfer:

Catching Pokémon is more fun than ever with an action-oriented approach. The quests and storylines are immersive and add depth to the Pokémon universe.
Although the graphics can sometimes be a bit simple and the world may feel a bit empty at times, the innovative gameplay and fresh approach to the Pokémon concept make this game absolutely worth it.

Wowie! Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a Fantastic adventure that takes you to the ancient Hisui region, which will later be known as the Sinnoh region! In this game, developed by Game Freak, you have the opportunity to form one of the first Pokédexes by capturing and studying wild Pokémon. The gameplay mechanics are revamped, offering an open-world experience like never before seen in a Pokémon game. You can freely roam, observe Pokémon in their natural habitat, catch them, and battle with them. And that makes me super happy!
Historical Context
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a groundbreaking title within the Pokémon franchise. It was released in 2022, presenting a whole new perspective on capturing and training Pokémon. Unlike previous games, the story of this game is set in an era before humans and Pokémon lived together in harmony, providing a unique and refreshing experience for both new and seasoned fans of the series.

This game is perfect for both new Pokémon trainers and veterans looking for a new and thrilling experience. And of course, if you are a fan of adventurous open-world games, then this is a must-play!

If you enjoy Pokémon Legends: Arceus, I also recommend checking out The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for another open-world experience. Also, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield are Fantastic titles to further expand your Pokémon collection!
When I'm not working...
Did you know that in my free time, I, Mr. M., would love to run through the Hisui region with my best friends Yoshi and Luma? We would observe wild Pokémon and try to catch them all. I imagine Yoshi would help with carrying heavy objects, and Luma would guide us through the starry sky. It would truly be a Fantastic adventure, full of surprises and new discoveries! Haha!
Tips and secrets, cheats and codes
7 tips: 6 Secrets - 1 Personal tipSecrets: How can you obtain all starter Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus? After the credits, you can return to the professor's lab in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. If you speak to him, he will give you the remaining two starters. Want the starters more than once? Then you'll need to search for them in the following space-time distortions: Crimson Mirelands: | Cyndaquil line | Coronet Highlands: | Rowlet line | Alabaster Icelands: | Oshawott line |
Secrets: Which Pokémon can only be caught in space-time distortions? Space-time distortions spawn randomly, but there are also some Pokémon that you can only catch in these space-time distortions in Pokémon Legends: Arceus! Obsidian Fieldlands: | Sneasel (normal)/Weavile | Crimson Mirelands: | Porygon/Porygon-2/Porygon-Z | Cobalt Coastlands: | Magnemite/Magneton | Coronet Highlands: | Cranidos/Rampardos and Shieldon/Bastiodon |
Secrets: Where can you find all 28 Unown in the Hisui region? Axelmans | | 2186 |
In the entire Hisui region, there are 28 Unown hidden away, which can be found once the player has gained access to the Crimson Mirelands. The Pokédex features a separate tab that provides a description of the location for each Unown symbol. However, it’s still not straightforward to locate every Unown based on these descriptions. The video below can help with that in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Read more tips and secrets.Personal tip: What are the new Hisuian Pokémon? Hisui also features new Pokémon and familiar faces that look a bit different in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Secrets: How can you catch a shiny Ponyta in Pokémon Legends: Arceus? In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you can catch a shiny Ponyta. Just accept request 19: A Peculiar Ponyta from the board in the professor's room, and then you'll be able to go and catch it. Secrets: How can you obtain Darkrai and Shaymin in Pokémon Legends: Arceus? You can only obtain Darkrai if you have save data from Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl, and you can only get Shaymin if you have save data from Sword/Shield in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The events for these Pokémon will become available after the credits. Secrets: What are the new evolution methods for Pokémon? Axelmans | | 2186 |
With new Pokémon and new evolution methods, there are of course also new ways to evolve them. This table covers all the new evolution methods.
However, I would first like to discuss 3 exceptions or evolution methods shared by multiple Pokémon:
- Pokémon that normally evolve by trading (e.g., Kadabra, Haunter) can now also evolve using the "Linking Cord" item, so trading is not necessary. These can occasionally be found in Space Time Distortions, but you can also collect points by finding and picking up other players' satchels in the various overworld regions. You can then exchange the points with the woman at the Trading Post in Jubilife Village. A Linking Cord costs 1000 points.
- Nosepass has an evolution method that closely resembles its old one, as well as a second, new evolution method. Take your Nosepass to the Coronet Highlands or give it a Thunder Stone. However, I strongly recommend the first method, as Evolution Stones are not particularly easy to come by (at least not without effort, cost, and time), and the first method requires no items and can always be done.
- You will notice that some new Hisuian Forms are missing from the table below (such as Zorua and Petilil); this is because they still use the same evolution method as their non-Hisuian counterparts.
The other methods are a bit clearer in a table: Original Pokémon: | Evolves into: | Method: | Hisuian Qwilfish | Overqwil | Use the move Barb Barrage 20 times in the strong-style version. | Hisuian Sneasel | Sneasler | Use the Razor Claw item during the day. When you catch/defeat a Sneasel, it has a chance to drop the item. | Hisuian Basculin | Basculegion | Use moves that deal damage to Basculin itself (like Double Edge) and inflict at least 294 damage without causing Basculin to faint; the damage accumulates between battles, and it needs healing items to keep Basculin alive. | Stantler | Wyrdeer | Use the move Psyshield Bash 20 times in the agile-style version. | Scyther | Kleavor | Use a Black Augurite item; you receive one as a reward for the request: "A Nosepass to Guide the Way." | Hisuian Voltorb | Hisuian Electrode | Use a leaf stone. This can be obtained in various ways, such as through Space Time Distortions. | Ursaring | Ursaluna | Use a Peat Block during a full moon. The request "Gone Astray...in the Icelands" rewards you with this item. |
