Neo ATLAS 1469 for the Nintendo Switch offers a unique blend of strategy and exploration. In this game, you lead a trading company and must create a map of the world based on rumours and discoveries. I find it an engaging experience to hire captains, approve or reject their findings, and manage trade routes. The visual style gave me a charming atmosphere, though it is somewhat simple, and the slow pacing can be both relaxing and frustrating, depending on your patience.
The concept of Neo ATLAS 1469 is original, and the freedom to shape the map is quite interesting. I enjoy being able to decide which discoveries to believe and which to dismiss. This results in a world map that is unique to your gaming experience. However, I do notice that the repetitive structure and limited strategic depth sometimes cause me to lose interest.
While I enjoy exploring the world and running my trading company, I must admit that the game is not for everyone.
