Mario Kart in your living room, can it get any better?
As a big Mario Kart fan, I found this to be fantastic news. Especially now during the pandemic, innovation is highly desirable. I immediately ordered the Luigi Kart since the Mario version was quickly sold out everywhere.
Once it arrived, I had to think for a moment to set up a good circuit in my living room.
But overall, there were no obstacles and I was ready to try out Luigi in about 20 minutes.
After driving a few laps, I somewhat disappointedly set Luigi aside. The circuit I had built was fun and looked great on my Switch screen. However, no one could really "enjoy" watching Luigi go around, as I found myself staring at my console the whole time.
It's a nice concept and the execution isn't bad, but in essence, it's not very practical. It's best to set up your circuit in one room at home and not have it extend into another room, as there's a high chance that the connection won't handle it, which is quite unfortunate.Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit Cijfer:

What a great game! I've played Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit a lot already and I'm so pleased with it! It's a really fun game when you have time with your best friends. You can even drive through your own room, isn't that awesome?! Just a shame it can't go outside. But other than that, it's good.
The kart drives smoothly, no stuttering, and turning is easy. I'm very satisfied with it! Definitely recommended!! Cijfer:

Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit is undoubtedly the most unique Mario Kart ever. The game comes with a tangible Mario or Luigi kart and some cardboard checkpoints. With these, you can get creative in your own living room to build your own Mario Kart circuit. Once ready, you can race around in your living room with the help of the Nintendo Switch system and a camera on the remote-controlled car, where Nintendo displays some impressive AR technology on the screen.
Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit is mainly a cute collectible. The concept is original, and the little car is nice to have. Unfortunately, the game itself quickly becomes repetitive, making you lose interest in Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit before long.
However, the game becomes much more enjoyable when you can race against a friend in real life. Unfortunately, for this, you need to own two karts and two Switch systems, which quickly drives up the price. Cijfer:

I think it's a really fun game to play because it's basically Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit. If you have multiple cars, you can also play Mario Kart with two players.

A racing car coming to life on your Switch? Sounds very cool, and it is. However, the novelty wears off quickly.
It's not a game you can just pick up and play, as you need to build your circuit, of course. You also need ample space.
