No more Legacy Edition, but other console versions still superior
EA Sports FC 24 for the Nintendo Switch offers a varied experience in my opinion, largely depending on the expectations you have for this game. After years of repetition, EA has finally made some changes to the gameplay of what used to be the "FIFA" series. Where we as fans had to settle for a "Legacy" edition every year, we now finally get an improved version that offers us a bit more.

If you’re looking for a football game, EA's offering is still the best choice on the Nintendo Switch. The game retains the key elements of the series, with familiar modes like Ultimate Team, career mode, and seasons, which always remain fun to play. However, it is noticeable that the Switch version still differs significantly from the versions on more powerful consoles. This difference is particularly evident in the graphics and animations.

The graphics feel a bit dated and lack the refinement found on other platforms. The animations can sometimes come across as a bit stiff and the realism of player movements lags behind. Although the gameplay has improved compared to the previous FIFA titles, the Switch version unfortunately still does not utilise the latest technologies like HyperMotion V, which are available on other consoles. This is a drawback, but for me, it still remains an entertaining experience on the Nintendo Switch.
