Product Description

Wowie! Dead Cells is a Fantastic and challenging roguelike Metroidvania-style game developed by Motion Twin. In this game, you take on the role of an amorphous being that possesses different bodies to navigate through an ever-changing castle. The gameplay is fast, intense, and action-packed, where you constantly discover new weapons, skills, and secrets. Each playthrough is different, thanks to the procedurally generated levels and permadeath mechanic, meaning you have to start over each time you die. But not to worry, that's what makes it all so exciting and addictive!

When I'm Off Duty...

Haha! I, Mr. M., would find it Fantastic to run through the dangerous corridors and rooms of Dead Cells with my friends Yoshi and Luma. Just imagine, Yoshi devouring enemies and Luma aiding us with its magical powers! We would make an amazing team and undoubtedly unravel all the secrets of the castle. During my free time, I often play Dead Cells to enhance my reflexes and test out new strategies. It's such an exciting and addictive game that I can't get enough of it! And that makes me super cheerful!

Underrated Metroidvania-Roguelike
Dead Cells is easily one of the most underrated indie games on the Switch. The gameplay is fantastic. With its Hack 'n Slash-like combat, you carve your way through various interesting and unique levels in this metroidvania-roguelike. Each level is randomly generated, tied to a set of variables such as which enemies can spawn and which items can be found. After completing a level, you reach a safe area where you can obtain weapons, skills, and more by exchanging your cells with the cellkeeper. To get cells, you have to kill monsters. This way, you become permanently stronger. The incredibly fun gameplay is supported by the beautiful pixel graphics and great soundtrack. Dead Cells is a very enjoyable game for fans of Metroidvania games and roguelikes.

In addition to the base game, Dead Cells has two paid DLC packs. The Rise of the Giant DLC adds 2 new levels, new weapons, new outfits, and a new boss fight. The Bad Seed DLC adds 3 new levels, new weapons, new outfits, minibosses, and a new boss fight.

Dead Cells is inspired by the Castlevania games, and there are plenty of references hidden throughout the game. Perhaps the most prominent "easter egg" is the option to change health pickups into Castlevania items from Dead Cells. Additionally, you can find Castlevania paintings in the castle, and there's also a shield and whip that you can discover from the Castlevania games.
