Same as on the 3DS and Wii U
This recreation of the original Toad Treasure Tracker is a bit disappointing. There is almost nothing new added and playing with the Joy-Cons can be quite annoying. However, if you haven't played Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker on the 3DS and Wii U yet, then the game is definitely worth a try.

Same game as the 3DS version
The game Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is exactly the same as the 3DS version. The controls work the same way too. You can move the entire 'island' to see where the diamonds are hidden. Sometimes they are very well hidden, making it a real challenge. A fun game for puzzle enthusiasts.

Beautiful casual puzzle game with lots of variety
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is one of my favorite Switch games. The difference compared to the 3DS/Wii U versions is the additional Mario Odyssey levels, the addition of DLC (which you have to buy separately), and the extra levels with LABO VR.

In the Switch version, you also have the option to play with two players. It's a fun casual puzzle game with a lot of variety in the levels and puzzles. The puzzles are neither too easy nor too difficult.

The game plays best in handheld mode because sometimes you need to interact with objects, requiring you to tap on the touchscreen. This can also be done on the TV by controlling a cursor, but this can be awkward at times.

A cheerful snack
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a familiar face, as the game has previously appeared on the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. However, this Switch version comes with some extras. New levels have been added in the theme of Super Mario Odyssey.

In Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, you play as Captain Toad, navigating short levels in search of stars. It's worth noting that Captain Toad can't jump like his famous mustached friend Mario, requiring you to solve puzzles to progress through the levels. This aspect of the game can really get you thinking.

Each level feels unique and looks colorful and cheerful. This makes Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker a quintessential Nintendo game through and through, perfect for picking up quickly for a short gaming session.

Fun puzzle game for Mario fans
This is a really fun game, based on the Captain Toad levels in Super Mario 3D World. In the game, you have to find the star in each level by solving fun and interesting puzzles. Each level also has 3 Super Gems, which are diamonds hidden in each level. Each level also has its own challenge, for example 'Don't look at a Shy Guy' or 'collect the Golden Mushroom', so there is still plenty to do even after you have completed the game.

Fun game starring Toad
This is a fun puzzle game starring Captain Toad. I really enjoy the levels and I also like searching for Pixel Toad and exploring the levels more deeply. Additionally, you can play the game with a friend, but I would recommend starting from the beginning with them, otherwise it can get a bit boring. All in all, a fun game to explore alone or together with a friend, and definitely enjoyable for puzzle game enthusiasts.
